Yumna Khan is the Youth Development Specialist at Friendship Ambassadors Foundation. She develops partnerships, heads youth opportunity programs, and is the focal point for the Permanent Missions to the United Nations.
Her previous experiences involve working with the United Nations, the New York State Senate, international development, education, and community building, and human rights NGOs. She has worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the United Nations World Tourism Organization, and the Digital Technologies for Sustainable Urbanization, Network 11 with various UN and private sector stakeholders.
She has an M.S in Global Affairs with a concentration in International Development and Humanitarian Assistance from New York University, focusing on human security of vulnerable groups, youth empowerment, and capacity building for smart urbanization. She completed her B.A in Political Science from CUNY, John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Yumna is passionate about empowering young people who are aspiring to tackle development issues globally, to become outstanding leaders and professionals.
