SDGs: No Poverty, No Hunger, Decent Work and Economic Growth
The Youth Assembly was truly an amazing learning opportunity and has inspired me pursue social entrepreneurship projects and help provide the same experiences to those in my community.Yashraj Chavda
Yash is currently attending the University of Western Ontario for Political Science. He is extremely passionate about politics and its interactions with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In the future, he plans to pursue law school leading to a political/social entrepreneurship career.
Currently he is working on two key projects:
First, he is working with a team to advocate for further regulations concerning micro-finance in developing countries. Stricter regulations would allow for countries and their citizens to work towards reducing impoverishment rates through ethical and productive practices (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth).
Second, he is working with an organization called Change for X, which in partnership with Unity Project, helps provide relief for homelessness in the City of London (SDG 1 & 2: No Poverty/No Hunger). Previously, their team has worked with various charities to advocate and fund projects in relation to equality and inclusivity.
Overall, his experiences with FAF and the 23rd session of the Youth Assembly have allowed him to further his knowledge and develop connections providing progression on both projects.
