Steven Marles was born in Acevedo Huila in the south of Colombia, the first one of five children. During his high school started as student leader. due to his desire to know the world, He had the opportunity to do an exchange program in the Hunkuk University of foreign Studies but also his internship in Samsung Yeollin SangTae Child Care Center in South Korea. After that, he was graduated as Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Tolima. He belongs to the Rotaract Pitalito club, which is part of Rotary International, where they have been working for the well-being of the people through activities that impact and are relevant within the community. The biggest project they have developed is called #BeTheInspirationChallenge where hundreds of people were called to be inspired by helping others, with this project they were winners of the Rotary Public Image Award in Mexico City on April 2019. Through his profession, he has always been searching for better education, and all this can be carried out with simple projects that are an example for his students as well as for the community; Therefore, the main SDG to be carried out is number 4 Quality of Education. On the other hand, his main concern at a general level is the environment, and therefore his Rotaract Club is carrying out activities to cultivate the culture of recycling and care for the environment, in this way they are looking forward to achieving the SDG number 13. climate action. Currently he is carried out his own English Academy where he teaches English through the environment issues and its possible solutions. Steven was a delegate at the Youth Assembly 24th session in Washington DC. participating with the Colombian Delegation and he will once again return fulfilling the role of Ambassador for the 25th session in New York City, representing Colombia.
