Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman Alaqil is an alumni mentor at Georgetown University for the SLP program where he has mentored over 120 students from across the international world. He is currently a medical intern who has graduated from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. He aspires to advance the clinical practice in his community as he is leading projects and initiatives concerning public health and food security not only in his region, but also worldwide. Along with his passion in the medical field, Dr. Mohammed has also studied conflict resolution at Portland State University within the prestigious scholarship of the Middle East Partnership Initiative. He believes that humanitarian work shouldn’t be shorthanded in one field, but rather to be integrated. He is working in Salam for Cultural Communication in order to influence his generation to take part in the global peace, coexistence, and dialogue. He has received the change-maker award from Ashoka organization in Dubai’s CMXC summit in 2017 due to his fascinating global achievements. In addition, Dr. Alaqil has been recognized as an outstanding delegate for the Youth Assembly. In addition, Mohammed is the CEO and founder of SAIR, which is a well-known health program aiming to stop the senseless misuse of antibiotics and the issue of superbugs through awareness, research development, and advocacy for policy change. He has been always working towards potentiating the Sustainable Development Goals not only in his community, but also around the Middle East and North Africa. He aspires to promote the goals internationally and to be a pioneer in this field.
