Kelvin Igumbor is an employee relations/diversity, equity and inclusion advocate based in the United States. A Doctor of Laws (Juris Doctor) candidate at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Kelvin helps champion equitable workplace/management practices and provides advice on adherence to employment laws. Born in Nigeria, where his background stoked his passion for legal and political advocacy, he has continued to provide support and advocate for a range of issues including, diversity, and inclusion; gender equality; accessibility to quality education; peace, justice and equity. Kelvin is committed to providing expertise and helping connect youth change-makers both in Africa and the United States. In addition to his continued work in advancing sustainable development, Kelvin serves as co-president of the Young Professionals board at JVS-KC, an organization that assists with refugee and immigrant transition to the United States. He also serves on the board of Access to Legal Aid Initiative, a non-profit that promotes equal justice for all by providing access to effective pro-bono legal services to low-income and marginalized persons in Nigeria. Kelvin is highly enthused and committed to supporting youths and aiding with partnership efforts for sustainable development. He sees and trusts in the capacity inherent in today’s youth to drive change on a global scale and believes that creating opportunities for empowerment through collaboration would help in realizing the goal for sustainable development by 2030.
