Furthermore it gave me outstanding networking opportunities to work with other young social leaders around the world , they inspired me and today i have the honor of working with some of them in various projects.Hugo Enrique Osorio Hernandez
Hugo Enrique Osorio Hernandez began his journey as a social activist at the age of 15. He started by representing small Ibero-American Communities in the UK. Given that education is at the center of his interests, he would encourage and offer support to young members of society in all matters related to education and academic procedures. Then he moved towards supporting The Young Adults Forum carried out at the British Parliament, representing the needs and interests of young people and attended sessions at the European Parliament in Brussels. He possesses a Degree in Politics & International Relations with honors granted at the University of Kent, UK and a Master’s Degree in International Law from the University of East London; where he mainly focused on International Human Rights. He was born in Colombia but raised in the British capital and he has passionately served the interests of both countries by contributing to different charitable and social causes in the UK & Colombia. In 2017 as he was completing his postgraduate research in Colombia he established an organization that would focus on raising awareness of the need to invest in education. The GKC Foundation. So far the organization has helped over 200 children living in poverty in Colombia which continues to be one of Hugo’s main priorities on his agenda as a young social leader. He firmly believes that investing in education is a powerful way to tackle social differences and eradicate poverty. Hugo was a delegate at the Youth Assembly 23rd session in New York supporting the work of the Colombian Delegation and he will once again return fulfilling the role of Ambassador for the 24th session in Washington D.C, representing both of the countries that are close to his heart: Colombia & the United Kingdom.
