SDGs: Peace and Justice, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth
The sheer number of youth activists and change-makers at The Youth Assembly made my time there one full of learning and growth.Adu Nasir Ahmad
Ahmad Adu Nasir is a graduate of Accra Technical University where he studied Accounting. He is currently the business development manager of UPED Bureau Limited and also the president of the YES Ghana Alumni Association. He is also an executive board member of AFS Intercultural Ghana. He has been passionate about matters of peace, justice, democracy and governance from an early age as he spent my early years in a rural area in the Brong-Ahafo region of Ghana. In 2009, he was one of twenty young Ghanaians who were selected to participate on the KL-YES Abroad program in the United States. For him, though the opportunity of staying in the United States was an honor, being able to do so on a program such as that was a greater honor. After his time spent in the U.S., he has worked in different capacities in various activities all aimed in an aspect of peace, justice, and governance. These positions and activities include, inter alia, Project lead of YES FOR PEACE (Youth are assets for peace not wars) 2016, Project lead of Peace Games 2016, Transport Manager YES for Peace – Ghana 2012 Peace Campaign, and aligning sports with the SGDS (Project lead). He also had the pleasure of giving a presentation at the Education and Cultural Affairs Bureau of the US Department of State Sponsored programs, Alexandria Virginia (U.S.A), on the Culture of Ghana.
