Youth Assembly 2005 at the United Nations: Young people making a difference By Kun Li, Featured on

GPF Participates in The Nexus: Global Youth Summit New York, NY (4 August 2011) – On August 3rd 2011, the Global Partnerships Forum participated in the 9th Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations, which was hosted by the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation and the International Youth Council. The Summit centered on empowering global youth leaders to tackle the Millennium Development Goals and other international issues. Zachary Chalett, Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Global Partnerships Forum, spoke on the panel, “Synergy: In Good Company”, which addressed such topics as the complexity of international relations, the disappointment of the aid-based approach to development and the fragmentation of the global order. Zachary’s presentation focused on the importance of innovative multi-stakeholder partnerships and smart philanthropy in advancing global economic growth and social development. The Global Partnerships Forum is honored to have participated in the 9th Annual Youth Assembly at the United States and would like to thank Patrick Sciarratta for his leadership role in organizing the Assembly, as well as Sebastian Mony for his efforts to organize the panel.
