Preliminary Itinerary

The Basic Conference Experience encompasses the 3-day international Youth Assembly (YA) Conference at the United Nations General Assembly Hall, as well as special evening events.

(B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner)

Day 1: Tuesday, August 6, 2013 – Arrival & Orientation

Upon arrival in New York, transfer to downtown Manhattan and check-in to Pace University dormitory. After settling in, register for the 12th Youth Assembly Program.

Transfer to United Nations for a guided tour of UN (schedule to be confirmed).

Attend Youth Assembly Orientation.

Overnight at Pace.

Day 2: Wednesday, August 7, 2013 – Youth Assembly at United Nations (B, L, D)

After breakfast, transfer to United Nations.

Attend Youth Assembly welcome by Conference Chair and Mission Ambassadors. Enjoy lunch at Untied Natins (to be confirmed). Continue YA Conference and workshops led by outstanding guest speakers in the afternoon.

Join in a special MDG Campaign Night Dinner tonight with other international youth delegates.

Overnight at Pace

Day 3: Thursday, August 8, 2013 – Youth Assembly at United Nations (B, L, D)

Transfer to UN after breakfast. Attend Youth Assembly Conference – Moving From Talk to Action. Enjoy lunch at United Nations (to be confirmed). Attend Workshops in the afternoon, then visit a Permanent Mission of UN. Join in a networking event in Dag Hammarskjöld Park (across from the UN).

Participate in a special Culture Night Dinner with other international youth delegates (Express national pride by wearing national costumes or outfits to celebrate cultures).

Overnight at Pace.

Day 4: Friday, August 9, 2013 – Youth Assembly at United Nations (B, L, D)

Transfer to UN after breakfast. Continue Youth Assembly Conference – opening plenary address and MDG updates. Attend Workshops in the afternoon after lunch. Attend Youth Assembly Closing Ceremony – Youth Social Venture Competition Winners announced, closing keynotes, and closing musical piece.

Join in a Special Farewell Party Dinner cruise along the Manhattan island and Award Ceremony.

Overnight at Pace.

Day 5: Saturday, August 10, 2013 – Departure (B)

After breakfast, check out of Pace dormitory.

With meaningful experiences and friendships, transfer to the airport and catch the flight home with bags full of memories …

Package & Cost

Program

  • Participation in the 12th Youth Assembly (YA) at the United Nations (including YA Special Events)

Accommodations & Meals

  • 4-night accommodation at the Pace University dormitory*
  • Daily meals provided during the Program (B=Breakfasat, L=Lunch, D=Dinner) as indicated in the itinerary

* Additional night and breakfast might be available for an extra cost upon request.

Transportation

  • 1-week unlimited Metro Card for transportation within Manhattan

Admissions

  • United Nations guided tour in English

Certificates

  • Youth Assembly at UN Participation Certificate issued by FAF

Tour Manager

  • FAF representative to assist you throughout the program

Packages Does Not Include

  • Airport transfers (can be arranged for groups at additional charge)
  • Personal expenses and incidentals

Cost

  • $890 per person based on double occupancy
  • $970 per person based on single occupancy
